Bat Mitzvah - Pamela’s on the Hudson, Newburgh, NY

Elana did a great job on my daughter's bat mitzvah photos. She came 2 times - to the syangogue for posed photos the day before the ceremony, and to the restaurant for my daughter's party. She knew the right poses to take at the synagogue, the important photos of family and friends and décor (which wouldn't have occurred to me, but I was really happy to see after). The photos are quality and she was very easy and flexible to work with. She also made a photo montage for us, even accommodating a last minute request to add a ton of extra photos when we realized we'd left them out. Definitely recommend. A. Friedman

Bar Mitzvah - New Rochelle, NY

Elana did an amazing job for our son’s Bar Mitzvah. I had first met and booked Elana pre-Covid based on her pictures, reviews and how personable she was upon meeting my family. Her prices are fair and reasonable especially considering the many services she provides including not only photos but also montages and album designs. (I got so many compliments on our montage). Once Covid hit, our plans changed including venue and timing and Elana worked with us completely and was so responsive to every email, text and phone call. We received our pictures back from her quicker than I expected and were beyond pleased. She captured so many moments and we cannot wait until we get our final album. Wedding - Mattituck Beach

We had Elana do our engagement photography and she blew us away. We had all our friends and family contacting us telling us how great the shots were and so we immediately booked her for our wedding day. For our wedding, she found us a second photographer and was always so quick to respond to our emails. She carefully scheduled the day's events & photography, collaborated with the second photographer to make sure one was taking formal, posed shots while the other got the candid shots and she kept scouting out new spots all over the venue for creative photos. She was kind, professional and she was always right there when someone wanted a photo--I honestly don't know how she was possibly in so many places at once! Bat Mitzvah - Westchester

Elana did a fantastic job capturing the most important aspects of our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. Not only did she take great pictures of us that we will treasure forever, but she also managed to photograph all of the details that we had spent months planning. In addition, she managed to get pictures of all family members and friends in multiple combinations and capture the different emotions at the party so well that my first look at the photos was through tearful eyes! Wedding - Rye, NY

There are not enough stars nor words of gratefulness to give to Elana for her beautiful wedding photography, nor are there enough accolades for her patience, creativity, her intelligence and her charm during my daughter's wedding day. Thank goodness I found Elana! I searched for a long time and interviewed many photographers because I felt that choosing the photographer was the most important decision since the photos are what you have left long after the wedding day is over. Elana combined everything the bride and I and my husband were looking for: skillful photos with both creative (bride wanted some "impressionistic" creative type of shots and lots candid's) and traditional poses (father of bride wanted those old-fashioned type of table shots of our guests), along with a pleasant demeanor. Elana handled everything with such skill and charm, beginning early in the day with the hair salon to photos in our home to the venue (wedding day involved rain, sun, rainbows), making everyone comfortable and relaxed throughout the day. We are all so grateful to Elana for making the wedding day even more delightful and for her beautiful photos that we will cherish forever.

Wedding - Schnepf Farms

From the very first interactions with Elana we could tell that professionalism and delivering quality service are essential to the way she manages her business. We first met in early July 2017 in preparation for our October 2018 wedding. Elana designed a package that fit our needs and created a payment schedule that we all agreed to. In November 2017 our engagement session took place. We had a wonderful experience and received beautiful photos. When that was completed we still had several months before the wedding, but Elana made sure to keep in touch. She checked in with me to verify the details and to ensure she knew our schedule of events the day of the wedding. On the day of our wedding she and her assistant photographer arrived early and were ready to photograph our day immediately. Throughout the day Elana's presence was extremely positive & she photographed everything. We received a preview of our photos less than a week after the wedding. Three weeks after the wedding we received all of our photos beautifully retouched. We were thrilled with the results. I would certainly recommend Elana to photograph your wedding or special event! Since the day I first spoke with Elana, she has been nothing short of incredible. Just chatting with her on the phone prior to hiring her, I was put at ease by her warm nature and professionalism. We are thrilled that she will be photographing our boys' B'nai Mitzvah. We recently did a pre-mitzvah photo shoot. Elana met us in Manhattan and spent hours catching the perfect shots in a creative and fun way. Since we are thinking of doing a NYC theme, she went to great efforts finding the perfect background sights, including the subway, Broadway, taxi cabs, Times Square, and many more. With two twelve year old boys changing fifteen times, she has the patience of a saint. Beyond this, the pictures came out fantastic. Her vision and artistic talent is second to none. Elana Goodridge photographed my son's Bar Mitzvah in the fall of 2014. We were so very pleased by both the process and the outcome! Elana is great at setting-up the 'staged' shots, helping getting everyone to relax. What puts her head and shoulders above the rest is her true expertise at catching those candid shots. It is easy to see by the photos, that she is able to take the shots, while being completely unobtrusive. These candid shots are really the keepsake gems. Catching the true feelings/meaning of the day! She also seems to be everywhere at once and captured so many of these candid shots of so many of the guests! Elana was the perfect first step towards our perfect wedding! After meeting with her once, we knew she'd be a great fit. She's very easy to talk with, listens to what you want, and also has great creative ideas. She took both our engagement and wedding photos, and throughout both occasions she guided us seamlessly to capture both candid and posed photos, making sure if we wanted anything specific it was done. Although with very few original ideas going into either day, we took full advantage of her talent of playing off our personalities and chemistry to get beautiful natural looking pictures. She sent us a preview engagement shot the very next day and over 140 edited photos in 3 days!! We received over 40 edited wedding photos 3 days after and all almost 900 edited photos in 4 weeks! She and her assistant photographer took such fun and beautiful photos of every single guest! Not a single one was missed. They were so great we printed at least 1 or 2 small ones of the guests/couples having fun together or with us and sent them with our thank yous! Everyone loved them!! Proposal - Times Square

I traveled from México to NYC for my proposal, basically out of my comfort zone and knowing anyone over there! Even with all the planning we did before the trip I was really nervous because in such a chaotic place anything can go wrong. Elana was simply wonderful! We had an unusual event with multiple locations across different dates and she was very accommodating. She even turned around a full video and set of photos between one event (Monday) and the next (Saturday). The video was perfect and the photos are fantastic. Engagement - Sedona

Five stars on every level since the day I first messaged Elana. It doesn't matter if your priority is professionalism, flexibility for scheduling or pricing, photography and editing talent, or reliability because she's got all of it. She responds to messages within hours, never days, and was able to meet my fiancé and I just days after I contacted her. She took our vision, priorities and budget, and put together our own wedding/engagement package with incomparable value. Hiring her for our engagement photos and wedding day has by far been the most stress free part of wedding planning. We were looking for a photographer willing to travel 2.5 hours to Sedona for our engagement shoot and she wasn't just happy to do it, she was excited! Our shoot went fantastic, with just enough direction to give us different fun starting points with multiple backdrops and from there simply made us comfortable to be ourselves, have fun, and let our love shine through beautifully captured candid movements. We got a preview photo the very next morning and within 3 days we received all of our (over 150) beautiful edited photos. Three days! Our wedding day is still 10 months away, and with so much still to do I can't be more thankful that I won't have to spend a second concerned about this aspect of it. Your wedding day is supposed to be the most amazing day of your life. You want everything to go as planned, for everyone to have a great time, and to remember every moment of it. Thankfully, all went this way and every single moment of it was captured beautifully. Elana’s ability to snap all these great moments, allows us to relive our special day as if it were yesterday. We could not have been more stunned and blown away once we received her photos. Meeting with Elana, to get a sense of our vision and expectations, was a smooth and stress free endeavor. Our goal was to capture the night, in its most candid form, as well as getting to see the things we might have missed out on. Elana really made us feel like the center of attention. From the Bride’s Father tearing up, to the Groom’s Grandmother’s looking on as everyone danced, it was all there for us to relive and admire.
